The Moreston Heritage Village at Grey Roots near Owen Sound is growing again.
There was a timber raising event yesterday as a crane lifted the timbers for the Rice Family Blacksmith Shop.
The new shop was a project conceived by the Rice Family — a local family with a history of blacksmithing dating back to the 1800’s.
The project started last October and volunteers hope to board and finish the shop by the winter.
The plan is to open the Blacksmith Shop for school tours next Spring and to the public next summer.
