More than 350 dollars was raised through donations between 9 this morning and noon.
Community Development Coordinator for the Alzheimer’s Society of Grey Bruce Bill Twaddle is pleased with the event.
Twaddle says this is the Society’s major annual fundraiser, where friends, co-workers and customers gather to raise funds.
Participants at these events make a donation in exchange for a cup of coffee.
The money raised stays in the community to help support local programs and services.
Twaddle says anyone can host a coffee break, and he encourages those who want to help out, to contact the society to learn how.
The 13th annual Alzheimer Coffee Break will take place across Canada next Thursday, September 18th.
Last year, more than 1.2 million dollars was raised.
