There is a special symposium on children’s mental health in Port Elgin today.
The day long meeting begins at nine this morning at the CAW Family Education Centre.
School administrators, teachers and community members will hear from keynote speaker Doctor Ian Manion.
He is the Director of Operations at the Centre of Excellence for Youth Mental Health at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
There will be 10 different workshops in the afternoon with community partners such as Grey Bruce Health Services and Keystone Child Family and Youth Services.
The workshops will focus on improving services for children with mental health issues.
