Tonight starting at 6:30, the ever popular lawn mower races take place at the community centre in Tara.
Secretary Treasurer of the Arran Tara Agricultural Society Florcence Bere says about eleven races are set to go.
The fair kicks off at the same time too at the community centre.
Bere says horse shows start around ten Wednesday morning.
These include miniature and heavy horses, while horse races are set for the afternoon.
She says the parade runs through the grounds at 11:45 in the morning.
Bere says it’s an exciting time for the whole community, as students get out of class early for the day.
Along with the usual midway, fair food and a hall full of exhibits, you’ll find livestock and poultry displays too.
Bere says the 4-H dairy show runs Wednesday too.
She says the amassadors of the fair were chosen this weekend.
The senior ambassador is Kayla Swigger; the junior Rosalynn Aiken-Hall.
