Doctor Lisa MacNeil-Coven is officially working out of the Kincardine Community Medical Clinic.
Kincardine Physician Recruitment and Retention Coordinator, Lynn Bos says MacNeil-Coven started her own practice September 1st, and will be accepting patients.
Bos says the medical clinic will be contacting orphaned patients about her availability.
Meanwhile Bos says Doctor Larissa Kasniak will be finishing her residency in December, and joining the clinic in January.
Bos says as of January, with the two additional doctors, the total at the clinic will be nine.
Bos admits, they still need more doctors, and the recruitment process continues.
She says the will take part in a health professionals tour for underserviced areas starting this month.
This means, attending health fairs in places like Ottawa, Kingston, Hamilton, London, and Toronto.
Bos says they continue to show potential doctors the community, and are trying to encourage more to set up shop.
