Two Owen Sound committees need volunteers to help fill their ranks.
City Clerk Marion Koepke says the Downtown Improvement Area Board of Management needs two new members.
The DIA oversees the management, representation, revitalization and organization of the downtown core.
Koepke says the spaces were created by two recent resignations.
She says a good knowledge of business or owning an actual business would be considered assets for the position.
The city’s Accessibility Advisory Committee is also looking for a new member.
The committee gives Council advice on preparing and implementing the city’s accessibility plan.
Koepke says people applying for the position on the Accessibility Committee must be qualified under the “Ontarians with Disabilities Act.”
Interested people can pick up application forms at the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, or download them at www.e-owensound.com
The application deadline is Friday August 29th.
