City Council hopes to discuss several long term plans, including the Downtown Harbour Master plan, Fire Master Plan, and Economic Development Strategy.
Local youth groups have been invited to the session for a round table discussion.
The Owen Sound Library’s Teen Advisory Council, The Youth Coalition and Youth from the BMX park have been invited to share their thoughts on local issues.
Councillor David Adair says its important for Owen Sound to be a community for all ages, and hopes to get more youth involved in local issues.
Adair adds, in the Fall they are also hoping to have youth shadow councillors at various meetings.
The day long strategic planning session will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Owen Sound Billy Bishop Airport.
