Grey County OPP were called after a car crashed on Highway 21 west of Owen Sound Sunday afternoon.
An off duty OPP officer heard the crash and tried to help a woman in the car along with another man who stopped his motorcycle.
But Police say the female driver began acting irrationally and smeared blood on the off duty officer and burned herself when she mounted the motorcycle.
Police say the woman than started taking her clothes and footwear off and ran into a nearby cow pasture.
Police also allege the woman assaulted officers during the arrest and spit, and threw mud and feces at the officers.
The 18 year old female driver from Gulp was taken into custody and transported to the Owen Sound hospital for a psychiatric assessment.
One of the officers received minor scratches and abrasions.
OPP also learned the same vehicle was involved in two separate hit and run crashes earlier Sunday.
The investigation continues.
