You can be sure the Port Elgin Legion hasn’t hosted a dance with music like this before.
Dead Dog Productions is presenting “Venue 340: Enter the Jungle” tonight.
It features Drum and Base music, or D ‘n B, which is a type of electronic dance music.
“Rex” is one of the DJ’s for the event, and she says although D ‘n B is still considered an underground music style, its influence can be seen in popular culture.
The other DJs scheduled to appear are Duka, Raksha, Jarkko, and -N.
Rex says there may be others who show up with records as well, and they may be invited to play.
She says the dance is an opportunity to introduce something new to an audience who otherwise may never have had the chance.
The dance begins at 7 PM.
Tickets 20 bucks at the door, 15 bucks in advance at Adrenalin Ink in Port Elgin.
