The brand new Shoppers Drug Mart in downtown Owen Sound is scheduled to open today.
It cost 1.4 million dollars to build the store at the corner of 10th Street and 1st Avenue West — and the doors will officially open at 8 AM this morning.
Director of Communications for Shoppers Tammy Smitham says the 14 thousand square foot store will be a full service drug store.
She notes it will offer a wide range of products — from prescription drugs to toiletries to groceries.
Grand opening celebrations are planned for this weekend.
But Shoppers Drug Mart will close its store on 2nd Avenue East.
