Following a two-hour hearing with the Kincardine Police Services Board yesterday the board decided to continue the temporary suspension of the company’s licence.
The board will not consider re-instatement until the courts have dealt with five charges against operator Stephen Ellis.
Board chair Bob Wilson says Ellis had representation and the OPP presented their case as well.
Wilson says the 37 year old operator can still appeal the decision to Kincardine council but that would be his decision.
Ellis is facing five drug related charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The charges followed a raid by South Bruce OPP and the OPP drug squad in July.
Police says close to $50,000 worth of drugs and money was seized.
Wilson says ABC’s other cab drivers have either found other work or will be turning in their licences.
