The Bruce Grey Owen Sound Federal Liberal Riding Association is opening the floor for nominations for candidates.
A committee has been formed to actively search for potential contenders.
Nomination Committee Chair Bruce MacDonald says they already have one person in the running.
Thom Noble has declared his intention to seek the nomination.
MacDonald says although Noble has been very active, they want to be sure that anyone who is considering running has the chance to come forward.
MacDonald says the “sabre rattling” is getting pretty loud in both the Conservatives and Liberal Parties, and a fall election is a good possibility.
Anyone interested is asked to contact MacDonald, or the other committee members…Arran-Elderslie Mayor Ron Oswald, previous candidate Verona Jackson, and former MPP Ron Lipsett.
Potential candidates have until the end of August to express their interest.
