What better way to spend a summer day than building sandcastles?
Sauble’s 13th Annual Sandfest celebrations are happening at Sauble Beach today.
Organiser Paul Upshall says events will be taking place all day.
Upshall says there is a family sandcastle competition with registration at 9 AM, for a cost of 10 dollars.
He says prizes will be awarded to the top “sanders”.
Upshall says another big part of the day will be the Classic Car Show on the beach starting at 10 AM.
He says they traditionally get three to four hundred cars in the show.
In addition to sand castle building, there will be balloon creations, an interactive “Magic Bus”, and a Dunk Tank.
Upshall says the day also features live entertainment and an evening street dance.
Sauble Sandfest is sponsored by the Sauble Beach Chamber of Commerce, the Town of South Bruce Peninsula, and the Bruce Peninsula Tourist Association.
