Up to 300 people are expected to take in the 2nd Military Picnic in Tara today.
Organizer Tom Ruff says the Tara Legion is the place to be beginning about 2 o’clock.
The dinner itself is set for 4:30 in the afternoon.
12 legion branches are helping out with the event.
The Bruce county and Grey county cattlemen, the Grey Bruce Pork producers and the Ontario Chicken Farmers are all donating food for the event.
Invitations went out earlier to anyone serving in the Armed Forces.
Last year, Ruff says they had about 225 people last year and he thinks more will be out this year.
The picnic is at the Tara Legion.
