Farmers looking for financial help to assist with environmental upgrades can hear more at a meeting.
It’s being held through the Bruce County Federation of Agriculture and runs tomorrow morning at ten am in Walkerton.
Spokesperson Jane Dietrich says up to 50 thousand dollars is available per farm for things like water wells, manure storages, cattleyards, fencing, tree planting, alternative water sources.
Famers have until December to apply.
Over 3.8 million dollars in Bruce County has already been accessed from the province for environmental upgrades.
The same holds true in Huron County.
Dietrich says in order to qualify for the money for environmental upgrades, one must attend one of the education sessions.
There is no charge for the workshop, but you do have to register by tonight by calling 367-5930.
