Owen Sound police are investigating a serious assault downtown.
Sgt Sandra Green tells Bayshore Broadcasting News several people were assaulted just before midnight and taken to hospital.
Second Avenue East was closed for several hours from 10th Street East to half a block south in front of the CIBC bank while the forensic unit investigated.
Witnesses near the scene tell us three people were stabbed but those reports have not been confirmed by police.
Officers expect to release more information later today.
