There’s a bigger, better LCBO store in Kincardine.
A Grand Opening ceremony took place today at the new 7,100 square-foot store — located at the Kincardine Crossing shopping centre on the Northwest corner of Highways 9 and 21 next to Shoppers Drug Mart.
The new store replaces the 50-year-old location on Broadway Street at Huron Terrace.
Chris Layton of the LCBO Corporate Communications Department says the new store will have 300 more products and overĀ 1,400 in total.
He says they have bumped up the vintage wines and spirits section with over 250 products now available.
He adds that has been the biggest part of the business at the LCBO.
Layton says whenever they invest in a new store, they have tried to accommodate what the customer wants.
He says they find that people want a better shopping environment and the LCBO have been trying to keep up to date of what people are looking for.
He says there wasn’t a demand for wines and specialty products back then like it is now.
Layton feels they will get a return on their investment in the new store pretty quickly.
