South Bruce OPP say the incident occurred early yesterday morning as the reunion celebrations ended at the Lucknow Community Centre.
Officers were escorting a man away because he wouldn’t follow orders to leave the building.
That is when the suspect tried to get away and Police allege he spat in an officer’s face and kicked another officer in the head.
27 year old Peter Irwin of Wingham faces numerous charges including 2 counts of assaulting police.
He also faces drug charges after the OPP found a package of cocaine in his pocket.
Irwin will appear in court on October 20th.
The officer who was kicked in the head only received only minor injuries.
