Hanover is going to be bustling with construction activity this summer as four major retail projects get underway.
Chief Building Official Don Tedford says the activity will take place at Hanover’s east end with construction beginning soon.
This includes a new and much larger LCBO store for the town, the 67 hundred square foot building will be attached to a new Shoppers Drug Mart and Boston Pizza restaurant.
The Shoppers Drug Mart store will boast 17,500 square feet, while the 6 thousand square foot Boston Pizza restaurant will seat up to 120 people.
These new outlets will also offer ample parking spaces.
A Just Lube and Car Wash facility will also be constructed this summer.
It will include a three bay car wash, storage area and lube area.
The car wash portion will include a pet wash area as well.
Tedford is extremely pleased with all of the activity that will be taking place in the commercial core.
He says the new development confirms Hanover’s regional appeal to shoppers.
Tedford says Hanover prides itself on being progressive, stating it is a great town to do business in.
