Two more people are being honoured for their efforts in Hanover.
Artist Audrey Holrod and former Mayor Bob White have each had their name etched in stones in the town’s Labyrinth of Distinction.
White says each year town residents are recognized for their effort’s with this honour.
The stones are placed in the Heritage Square’s Civic Plaza area to show residents the constant reminder of their work in the town.
White says it’s a great honour to be recognized for his efforts.
White joined the town council in 1986 and was the mayor since 1995 to 2006 which is the longest serving mayor in Hanover’s history.
Holrod moved to Hanover in 1970 to teach French at John Diefenbaker Secondary School but her tenure there was cut short due to health problems.
Holrod took the opportunity to pursue her passion of art and today many of her pieces are displayed in Hanover Public Library and Walkerton Public Library.
