The 146th Emancipation Festival in Owen Sound has received a grant.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation has announced $12,500 in funding for the festival which will be held August 1st to the 3rd.
Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP Bill Murdoch says the grant will help promote the cultural programs at the festival.
He adds it will also allow people to learn about Grey County’s proud past as the end of the Underground Railroad.
The Grey Roots Museum and Archives is also hosting its 3rd annual Emancipation Festival’s Art Show.
