Councillor Don Marshall says the province has kicked in 20 thousand dollars to help West Grey revitalize the downtowns in Neustadt, Durham and Ayton.
Marshall says West Grey has contributed another 10 thousand dollars to the fund while business owners are expected to pick up half the cost of their renovations.
He says they can receive up to 500 dollars for a thousand dollar reno job to the front of their downtown businesses.
Marshall says there are no sticky guidelines nor does West Grey have an overall plan of how businesses should look.
The money can be used for everything from painting facades to new awnings or signs.
The deadline to apply for the beautification grant is July 24th.
