Residents in South Bruce Peninsula — who have problems with animals getting into their garbage — now have an alternative option.
The steel animal resistant, garbage and storage bins are now being sold at the South Bruce Peninsula Town Hall.
Mayor Gwen Gilbert says they are offering a program through the town with a subsidy on Tye Dee Bins.
Gilbert encourages residents to buy their own bins because the same bins at the Albermarle dump are being misused.
The bear proof bins are selling for a total of $310 including tax and that includes an $80 subsidy from the town.
The bins come in 4 different sizes.
There are only approximately 150 Tye Dee Bins left and they are being sold on a first come, first serve basis.
