Someone new is taking over the reins of Saugeen Shores’ Pumpkinfest in 2009
Kristen Kline is taking over for Lisa Irwin, who was co-ordinator for four years.
Kline says this is her first job out of school, and she’s excited for the possibilities it will bring.
She took Event Management at Conestoga College in Waterloo.
Kline says she’s had a lot of experience volunteering at trade shows, weddings and even the Memorial Cup which took place in Kitchener this year.
Kline says she has a few new ideas to pitch for 2009, though she’s keeping them under wraps.
Lisa Irwin says she’ll still come back for Pumpkinfest in a volunteer capacity.
Irwin says she’ll miss the community spirit and the efforts that residents put in to every event, like Pumpkinfest.
She’s preparing to go back to school at Ryerson University.
