Ontario Power Generation is opening its wallet for the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce.
A total donation of 75 hundred dollars was made Wednesday.
Senior Communications Advisor with OPG, Lynda Cain says 5 thousand is ear marked for the Feathered Friends exhibit at this year’s Pumpkinfest.
Cain says 25 hundred will help make the Christmas Float sparkle.
It will also help sponsor the Owen Sound and District Pipe and Drum Band, that appears in each of the Port Elgin and Southampton Santa Claus Parades.
Chamber Community Relations Coordinator Sally Hunt says paint and equipment is needed to refurbish the float.
The Saugeen Youth Coalition will receive an honorarium for donating their time to tackle the project.
Youth Volunteer Melissa Furdette is excited to be helping with the float.
They are the ones who have volunteered their time to tackle the project.
The donation was made at the Beach in Port Elgin.
