A 30 year old man will not go to jail in connection with the death of another man in Saugeen First Nation.
Vincent Raymond Solomon pleaded guilty to assault and received a suspended sentence in Walkerton court.
He has been placed on probation for one year and is banned from owning a weapon for five years.
Solomon was charged in connection with the death of 52 year old David Mandawoub.
Solomon admitted to kicking Mandawoub during an assault on Thanksgiving weekend in 2006.
Mandawoub died a month later.
Another man — 31 year old Henry Patrick Mandawoub — was sentenced to three years in prison in connection with the death of his uncle.
