Need an idea for New Years Eve?
Well, there’s a gala event tonight with a well known comedian and plenty of Monte Carlo gaming.
And you can feel good about it becuase all proceeds support Big Brother’s Big Sister of Hanover and area.
They’re hosting the gala dubbed “Gambling on Giggles.”
Executive Director Chantal La Duke says there’s only about 100 tickets left.
Because the tickets are just for the entertainment portion of the night, La Duke says they are only 75 dollars at the door.
The comedian is Toronto native Judy Croon who’s been featured on programs like the Comedy Network.
La Duke says Croon along with some Monte Carlo games will make for an entertaining evening.
All the proceeds raised go towards Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Hanover and area and La Duke says because they don’t receive any government funding the fundraiser is crucial to their organization.
You may remember Big Brothers and Big Sisters was going to close their doors in January but the community stepped up and donated.
La Duke says their fundraising drive has now reached over 50 thousand dollars but they still need your help.
The Gala is at the Hanover Knights of Columbus Hall.
