The operators of the Talisman ski resort in Kimberley are hoping for a strong season.
Director of Marketing and Sales Janie Leyden Ondrey says they are still struggling to recover from the economic slowdown — just like many other resorts.
Newspapers have reported Talisman is in financial trouble.
But Leyden Ondrey says that is not the case and Talisman is not facing bankruptcy.
Leyden Ondrey says the fact Talisman has land listed for sale and has some accounts past due is not a sign of trouble.
She also points out the news is nothing new.
Leyden Ondrey adds Talisman continues to be to a positive member of the community but attracting visitors that spend dollars at other local businesses.
She also notes Talisman employs over 100 people and contributes to local charities.
Talisman is offering a food bank drive lift ticket of 10 dollars on Saturday January 1st if you bring a donation to the food bank.
