Brockton’s Mayor is looking forward to a busy new year.
2011 will have its share of challenges, but newly elected mayor Dave Inglis is confident Brockton will come out okay.
Inglis says the municipality is experiencing positive growth with some exciting new housing development projects underway.
The budget however is a much different story.
Inglis says it will be a challenge to balance it as the municipality faces lean times.
Inglis doesn’t foresee any government handouts and says Councillors will have to look long and hard at the numbers.
He says it will be a delicate balancing act to ensure Brockton can maintain services in the community.
Inglis says this will prove difficult as the municipality faces added costs in other areas of the budget.
Inglis says there may be some hurdles ahead but hes optimistic that Brockton will be able to overcome each and every one of them.
