West Grey Mayor Kevin Eccles believes 2011 will be a year of opportunities, possibilities and challenges for his municipality.
Forging new partnerships with neighbouring urban municipalities will be a key focus.
Eccles admits finding the best way to do that will be the biggest challenge.
In the past West Grey has voiced interest in having water and sewer lines from neighbouring urban municipalities extended into West Grey.
But Eccles says youth is another key priority.
Eccles says the municipality wants to find new ways to engage young people and get them to take greater ownership in their community.
Eccles also wants to find infrastructure funding to take on a number of road and bridge projects in the upcoming year.
One issue that will come up in 2011 is the possible future replacement of the Ayton Community Centre.
