It feels like an early Christmas present for Paula Harron and her family.
The Owen Sound woman had the controversial MS liberation treatment in Rhode Island, and says she feels much better now.
Harron had the treatment December 2nd, and at first — she noticed very little improvement.
Now, in an exclusive interview with Bayshore Broadcasting News, Harron says she has a lot more energy, less pain and fewer headaches.
Harron was diagnosed with MS a little over a year ago and says fatigue was one of the biggest factors in her decision to seek out the treatment.
The procedure remains controversial, but has been done on a number of local residents.
Paula Harron says despite the cost, about 85 hundred dollars including the trip and hotel costs, it was well worth it.
She says even if she has to undergo the same operation in 6 months time, she would do it because her quality of life is that much better now.
Harron says the care she received in the U-S was great.
