An Owen Sound psych nurse has had his certification stripped by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Randy Leslie was charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation after an investigation at the Owen Sound hospital in July 2009.
The discipline panel held a hearing in April and concluded Leslie committed an act of professional misconduct and breached professional standards.
The committee heard evidence of sexual contact against an adolescent patient who was staying on the psychiatric floor of the hospital.
Leslie did not attend the hearing — but the panel heard testimony from five witnesses and reviewed several exhibits.
Leslie still must also answer to the criminal charges.
