The process has begun.
Before too long, communities will be asked for their input into the school accomodation reviews that have been undertaken by the Bluewater District School Board.
Superintendent of Secondary Education Alana Murray syas the pre consultation reports are being put together.
Murray says the reports are very comprehensive on the background of each school being reviewed.
She says the Accomodation Review Committee (ARC) will have all the information they need by mid to late December in preparation for the public meetings in the new year.
Murray says they’re still waiting to hear from affected municipalities to see who would be interested in serving on the committees.
Murray says four public meetings will be held in the affected areas and after that the ARC members will put together a report for the trustees.
That’s expected by the end of the school year.
Schools up for review include Saugeen District Secondary School and Kincardine District Secondary School.
Also Elgin Market, Huron Heights and KTTPS schools in Kincardine.
Elsewhere Chesley District High, along with Hanover Heights elementary, Dawnview and Kinghurst community schools are being studied.
