A sport marketing company new to the Grey-Bruce area is looking for ideas for new sporting events.
Leigh Grigg is the owner of GriggSport, which is now located in South Bruce Peninsula.
Grigg originally started the company up in Thunder Bay, and then had an opportunity to do some work for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
Now he’s moved to the region, and says he’s excited to start building new sporting events.
Grigg says his company can increase the buzz and revenue around sporting events, making it successful in registration and attendance.
He’s eager to get about four or five events on the calendar this year, but says he needs some community help to do it.
Grigg says he wants a better understanding of the community and what sports have a lot of supports around them before starting up an event.
To get some feedback, Grigg has set up a survey on his website – www.griggsport.com
He says he’d like to get input from anybody and everybody in the Grey-Bruce area.
The survey is 10 questions, and if you propose an event you could win a prize.
Grigg says if a proposal or idea comes to fruition, the people who suggested it will be put into a draw for either free admission or free registration to the inaugural event.
