Grey Bruce Health Services is one of the first hospitals in the Province to receive a new Quality Healthcare Workplace award.
President and CEO Maureen Solecki says they’re pleased to announce they have won a silver level award.
Only a small number of hospitals were given the award which identify excellence in quality of work life.
Solecki says the award encourages other hospitals to mirror some of the workplace activities Grey Bruce Health Services practice on a daily basis.
It’s the inaugural year the Ontario Hospital Association has handed out the awards.
Grey Bruce Health Services was also recognized for their efforts in diagnostic imaging.
Solecki says the Diagnostic Imaging repository is completed for all of the hospitals in LHIN 1 and 2.
She says the program provides screening mammography services for women over the age of 50 and it allows them to share diagnostic images.
Grey Bruce Health Services was the pilot site for that initiative.
Solecki says they were given a plaque congratulating their efforts for their responsiveness in getting back to patients who needed follow-up care.
She adds the will proudly display the plaque in their Diagnostic Imaging Departments.
