The Bruce Grey Catholic School Board is ready to begin its next term..
Norm Bethune gets to keep his job as the Trustee Chair at the Bruce Grey Catholic School Board.
Both he and Vice Chair Bev Eckensweiler (ecken-swy-ler) were acclaimed to the same positions they held last year.
For Bethune this will be his eighth term at the helm and 14th year as a trustee.
He says after all these years — the job doesn’t get any easier.
Eckensweiler is also eager to begin her second term as vice chair.
Eckensweiler says for her, being a trustee is all about the kids and making choices with their best interest at heart.
Protecting the catholic identity is another key priority for Eckensweiler.
She says its important the public recognize the value of Catholic education and the way it complements the public board system.
Declining enrolment remains a key concern for both Bethune and Eckensweiler.
Bethune will provide trustees with his Chairs Address in January where he will outline his vision for the Catholic Board for 2011.
