The council of Northern Bruce Peninsula is back in session.
Led by Mayor Milt McIver, the five councillors were sworn in on Monday.
McIver says his municipality was one of the few that had no acclamations at all in the October 25th election.
McIver returns to the Mayor’s chair, along with 5 councillors — two of whom are newcomers.
McIver says there’s lots to do over the next four years.
He says they will be re-visiting the municipality’s strategic plan as they traditionally do at the beginning of each term.
Meanwhile, there are things that just didn’t get the attention they deserved during the last term.
They include the waste management plan; the beautification of Lion’s Head and Tobermory and the continuing work on a First Nations protocol.
McIver says he also hopes more money is put into the upgrades at the harbours of Lion’s Head and Tobermory.
