Canadas Economic Action Plan is delivering real results for dairy producers in Ontario.
Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP Larry Miller has announced 70 thousand dollars in funding for Saugeen Country Dairy Ltd. to purchase and install a new filling, sealing and ink jet coding machines.
The machines will improve its’ yogurt processing facility.
Officials say the new equipment will allow Saugeen Country Dairy to increase their production capacity which in turn is expected to increase the annual demand for milk , giving farmers more opportunities to sell their product.
The announcement by Miller on Friday was made on behalf of Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz.
Miller says Canadas Economic Action Plan continues to help Ontario dairy farmers and processors maintain their competitive edge.
The co-owner of the company, Johannes Schneider says by helping us maintain and expand our business, the Government of Canada supports small scale food processing in rural Ontario.
