Work is now complete on an upgrade to the kitchen at Participation Lodge Grey Bruce.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation gave the Lodge a $19,300 grant for the project that actually started in the summer.
Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP Bill Murdoch joined Ontario Trillium Foundation representative Frank Coulter in congratulating the executive team on its success just in time for the holidays.
Murdoch says it is a smart investment that will see the Lodges rental income continue to come in and support its many programs and services for resident adults.
Participation Lodge Grey Bruce used the money to renovate the lower level kitchen, which is attached to the banquet hall.
It will make it easier to organize and hold local community organizations and gatherings.
Participation Lodge is a non-profit organization providing specialized care to our
physically and intellectually disabled residents and clients.
It offers supported living units for 23 residents and day-programs that serve approximately 500 people in several locations in Grey and Bruce counties.
