The longtime owner of The Coach Inn has died.
Nano Di Cecco died peacefully on the weekend at the age of 73.
Di Cecco bought the former Seldon House hotel in 1983 and renovated the historic downtown Owen Sound building almost immediately.
He continued with renovations throughout the last 27 years and most recently converted the third floor to student’s residences.
Wendy Earnest has worked for the last 18 years with Di Cecco at the Coach Inn.
She says ‘Nano’ was a great boss who was easy going and loved being around people — whether it was customers or staff.
A funeral for Di Cecco will be held at 11 AM today in Toronto.
The Coach Inn will be closed until 2 PM.
