The Kincardine police services board received some good news financially.
Councillor and police board member Marsha Leggett says they received 102 thousand dollars back from the OPP as an overpayment for recent services.
South Bruce OPP is responsible for policing in Kincardine.
Leggett says the money will be used as a credit for future billings for police services.
She says the municipality spends over two million dollars annually for police protection and services.
Leggett says the refund comes as a result of planned police time in Kincardine that could not be accomodated because of presssing issues elsewhere.
Leggett says she wanted the public to know this returned money will not go into general revenues but will be used for future police costs.
