The Bruce Peninsula Association for Community Living is voting on a new contract today.
The deal was reached with the help of a mediator last Thursday, just hours before the 60 counsellors were set to strike.
All but 3 of the counsellors voted in favour of ratifying the agreement — which is their first ever contract.
The details of the contract will be released once both sides ratify the deal.
Community Living operates four group homes and two day programs in Wiarton and workers help individuals with developmental or emotional disabilities.
