More Christmas festivities will be held in Owen Sound today.
Harrison Park will host the Festival in the Park celebration from 11 AM to 4 PM and it features Santa and Mrs. Claus.
A horse drawn wagon will be taken to Santa’s cabin in the woods where kids can share their Christmas wishes with him.
Mrs. Claus will be in her kitchen to help you decorate ginger bread cookies, make crafts and paint faces.
Other entertainment includes Klash the Clown, carnival games and an obstacle course with prizes.
However the ice rink won’t be open because of the mild weather.
Doug Cleverley, the City’s Event Facilitator, says admission is by donation.
Cleverley also says Owen Sound Firefighters will bring their toy drive and two fire trucks to the festival to collect donations of unopened or unwrapped toys.
He also notes the event attracts people from as far as Barrie and Kitchener Waterloo.
A shuttle bus will run every half hour, beginning at 11 AM from the Visitor Information Centre on 1155 1st Avenue West Owen Sound.
