A landmark Tobermory restaurant has been demolished in an early morning fire.
Northern Bruce Peninsula Fire Chief Mike Henderson says the call came in just before 3 AM Friday.
Henderson says the Crow’s Nest restaurant has been completely lost to fire.
Fire crews from both Tobermory and Lion’s Head are battling the blaze, and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office is en route.
Henderson says the damage is extensive, and it will be a significant loss of a well-known piece of the local landscape.
No damage estimate has been made yet.
Henderson says the insurance company will be on scene today to assess the damage values.
