The good news just keeps on coming for Bruce Power.
Just one day after learning the remaining six units at the Tiverton-area nuclear generating plant will be refurbished at a cost of 12-billion dollars, comes word of a provincial apprenticeship award.
Bruce Power was honoured on Wednesday at Fanshawe College in London with the provincial Apprenticeship Employer Recognition Award.
Bruce Power has almost 800 apprentices on-site while nearly 400 have completed apprentice courses in the past eight years.
Their apprenticeship program offers high school students workplace education while adult students can take part in a co-op program while completing their high school diploma.
Bruce Power was among 16 employers across the province who were in the running for the award.
