There are just a couple of dozen homes in Owen Sound without Bell telephone and internet service this morning.
Bell Manager of Public Affairs Norma Hughes Howard says they completed the repairs to the splicing of the cable under 9th Street, just after 10 PM on Wednesday.
Last Friday morning, a construction crew working on 9th Street Bridge severed the cables and knocked out service to more than two thousand homes and businesses.
Hughes Howard says if any resident or business in the city continues to experience problems today or in the short term, they should dial 611 for assistance.
Hughes Howard notes barriers will still be visible today around the restoration site — but those barriers are there s Bell prepares to close the site of the repair work.
The repair was designed to get the service back in operation as quick as possible
Hughes Howard confirms work on the site by Bell will resume in the Spring.
