St. John Ambulance is hoping to increase their Medical First Responder volunteer base in the Owen Sound area.
Branch Manager Kathy Murphy Ermel says they have a strong team of 25 volunteers in Hanover but need more in Owen Sound.
These volunteers provide first aid coverage at a variety of community events — from hockey games to skating competitions.
Meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month in Owen Sound.
The next meeting is tonight at 7:30 PM at the Owen Sound Training Centre located on 20th Street East.
