Greenhorn’s Restaurant and Bar on Main Street in Sauble Beach could be back in business soon.
The business had been closed and the liquor licence was allowed to lapse.
However, South Bruce Peninsula council was informed businessman Frank Sibbio was re-applying for a liquor licence and wanted the town’s support.
Mayor Gwen Gilbert says it wasn’t a no-brainer.
She says there was some past concerns about the establishment.
Nevertheless council has agreed to support the application with some strong recommendations put in place.
Mayor Gilbert says they include that the licence will not allow any outside entertainment.
She says in the past tents had been set up outside the restaurant with the entertainment outdoors.
The town is saying that should not be allowed this time around.
