Ward 3 Kincardine Councillor Randy Roppel doing a little wrist slapping of council.
He says communication with the constituents is not one of its strong points and he hopes the new term brings new communication skills.
Roppel was referring to several meetings that have been held recently, outside the jurisdiction of Kincardine regarding the future of the wind turbine industry.
He says he knows Mayor Larry Kraemer has received e-mails on this issue and yet has chosen not to respond to the letter writer.
Roppel says there’s a group called Interworking Group on Wind Turbines that has a large following by municipalities in Ontario that are affected by the industry.
Kincardine is not one of those municipalities.
Roppel says out of respect the mayor and all councillors should be acknowledging that they have received e-mails from concerned citizens about this subject or any other.
Meanwhile, Mayor Kraemer isn’t quite sure where Roppel is headed on this.
He says he takes direction from council as to the things that they want to be involved with.
Kraemer says he receives hundreds of e-mails in a week and he does his best to read them and respond to them.
