A busy first flu clinic for the Grey Bruce Health Unit.
663 people received their flu shot in Owen Sound on Thursday.
That is down from the first clinic last year — but remember — that was for the H-1-N-1 flu shot.
Manager of Vaccine Preventable Diseases Karen Sweiger says the focus this year is to give the flu shot to young children ages 6 months to 23 months.
That is because they have high hospitalization rates.
The next health unit flu clinic is being held next Tuesday (Nov 2) from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Durham and District Community Centre.
A complete list of clinics can be found on the Health Unit’s web site at www.publichealthgreybruce.on.ca
